A `radial contour model' is a method for measuring geometric shape and variation. This type of model tries to capture important shape characteristics by looking at relationships between radial lengths within individual contours. These characteristics are encoded as constraints. When the model is used for segmentation purposes, these constraints can be used in conjunction with known boundary features to help locate unknown portions of a contour boundary.
A radial model is built from a set of `training' radial contours. This implementation assumes a fixed angle between adjacent vertices.
