XPVD-WAIT

source files: xpvd.[ch]

SYNTAX

(XPVD-WAIT &optional <fixnum:wait-char> )

DESCRIPTION

Waits for given char from Panasonic.

Wait-char is the character to wait for, which defaults to 3 (^C, ascii ETX), which normally indicates completion of command execution. The only other value you'd be likely to want to wait for is 6 (^F, ascii ACK), which indicates the command has been successfully recieved, and will be executed in due course.

Wait-time is the maximum length of time to wait for acknowledgement, in tenths of seconds, and defaults to 400 (40 seconds).

Returns NIL if all went well, else a string suggesting the problem encountered.
