Skandha4 Tutorial Functions

Source code for these tutorials is in /usr/local/shared_html/skandha4-demos/sk-tutr.

First initalize tutorials,
then run as many as you like from the following list,
then end tutorials to kill the skandha4 window.

After clicking on a tutorial in the following list the display should show something. To go to the next tutorial or to end the tutorials you first need to type "x" in the skandha4 display window.

Mouse-controlled cube

Use mouse to control display
Hit 'o' in graphics window to go to original display
Hit 'x' in graphics window to exit
Hit 'r' in graphics window to rotate
Hit 'm' in graphics window to move

Fly-through cube

Use mouse to control display
Keyboard characters in graphics window:
Hit 'o'  go to original display
Hit 'x'  to exit
Hit 'q' for left rudder
Hit 'w' for right rudder
Hit 'a' for reverse thrust
Hit 's' for forward thrust
Hit 'z' for zero thrust and rudder

Rotate and zoom a cube intuitively (ben)

Use mouse to control display
Keyboard characters in graphics window:

Apparent bugs

• Should be Eight rotating cubes but seems to call t13 instead, wiggling cube. As far as I can see the only difference in t14.xS4 and t14-1.xS4 is the filename.
• Click and drag .This should allow you to click on the cube, then drag it to a new location. Seems to work ok for short distance, but then snaps back to the origin. I think this has to do with the fact that some of the high level location fields are not being updated when they should.
• Click and drag a piece .This should allow you to click on one of the cubes in this "Rubik's cube", then drag it away. Same problem as the previous one. If this works it could be the basis for interactive dissections.
