Either Bill or I can help you wade through the various hardware options available to you and help you figure out what you need, including finding specific item numbers on the price lists. A basic set-up consists of the following items: - Macintosh system unit - Monitor - Keyboard - Network adapter The system unit always comes with a mouse, so that's one item you won't have to buy separately. Also, the necessary cables will almost always be provided, unless you're adding third-party hardware like external tape or disk drives. We can also help you cut through the advertising hype. For instance, most ads would have you believe that a basic package has everything you need to connect to an Ethernet network, but it just isn't true -- you still have to buy a separate little box for $60 or so, and that's why I've shown it on the above list. On the other hand, some systems come with various gadgets included which may not help you a bit. If you want to know more about your future system, give me a call. If I don't know the answer I can usually find someone who does.
