If you have a LaserWriter printer attached to your computer with a LocalTalk
connection and you wish to use it to print from several Macintoshes, there is
a control panel that I can install which will do this. It's called "LaserWriter
Bridge", and requires the following:

   - the printer must be connected to a Mac running System 7
   - all the other Macs must be connected via Ethernet

If you need a faster and better alternative and have the money to buy a new
printer, the new HP units can attach directly to the ethernet and be shared
among several Macintoshes. This should be a factor if you're purchasing a
new printer, unless your budget is extremely tight and you know you won't
ever want to share the printer.
